GIMP is a great alternative to Linux users who like to edit pictures given that adobe is not supported in Linux. Follow these simple steps to install this on your Ubuntu Shell!

On a terminal, run the following command:

$ sudo apt install snapd
$ snap install gimp

And this is it! GNU will appear in your applications and will be ready to be used!
